CST is a gentle hands-on therapy, with the therapist aiming to listen to and respond to your body's unique patterns and demands. As such, it is your body that determines the pace and exact nature of the work.
While it is based on osteopathic concepts developed nearly 100 years ago, CST is both non-invasive and extremely gentle, and works more with the fluids, soft tissues and fascia. As such, it is often used in cases of residual trauma, and in chronic or over-sensitised conditions. It can also be a profoundly relaxing experience.

VM facilitates normal mobility, tone and motion of the internal organs and their connective tissues. By applying specific gentle pressure, the functioning of the organ being treated is improved, as well as freeing up its related musculoskeletal connections, its related systems, and enhancing general metabolism.
This therapy can be particularly useful for people who have had abdominal surgery, as it can help free up adhesions which often form after operations, or for those with digestive complaints (such as SIBO) or recurring pain, postural distortions and biomechanical dysfunction.
The level of hands-on pressure you feel most comfortable with will be discussed before starting, as the physical contacts can be quite strong, or more gentle and akin to a light CST contact, depending on client response and preference. Much like CST, VM aims to work with the body and support your own inherent healing processes. Massage helps ease muscular tension and soft-tissue discomfort through a tailored blend of techniques inspired by Swedish massage.
Oil or if appropriate, magnesium cream, is applied to the skin, while pressure is adjusted to suit your needs, from gentle, relaxing movements to deeper work and trigger-point release. Massage can help you relax, support healthy circulation, reduce everyday stress and tension, and soothe aches and pains.
It can also be combined with Craniosacral Therapy and/or Visceral Manipulation to help release deeper patterns of tension and encourage a more balanced sense of wellbeing throughout the body and tissues.
