Note - the Monday exercise class continues to run via zoom, and our Tuesday Tai Chi group has a new home at Caxton House, 129 St John's Way, N19 3RQ. Since covid, GLL have ceased funding for all community classes so there is now a charge for attendees.

For students who are interested in training with my teacher, Master Wang Hai-Jun, you usually need to train with one of his students to reach a certain level, before joining his classes. MONDAY:
What time
: 10.00-11.00am
Type of class
: Over-50s chair-assisted exercise class, with a mix of strengthening and balancing exercises, (set up and previously run by Camden GLL Better). This class combines Tai Chi basics with seated resistance band exercises to work on strength, balance, and flexibility. All welcome
Where: NOW ON ZOOM - email me if you are interested to receive the weekly link. Classes are recorded, with the video link sent out each week if you miss a class.
Cost: £3 a session, or a monthly payment of £12-£15 Free to try first class, and by joining, you will also be able to access videos of previous classes

TUESDAY:
What time
: 3.30-4.15pm (beginners); 4-5pm (advanced)
Type of class
: Chen style Laojia Yi Lu, or 74 movement traditional form, plus sword and spear for advanced students (previously run as an over-50s funded class by GLL Better).
Please note, new students must know some Tai Chi (preferably Laojia Yi Lu) before joining the staff/spear group.
Where: Caxton House, 129 St John's Way, N19 3RQ.
Cost: £30 per month (one hour; £25 concessions), £40 (one and a half hours; £30 concessions). Beginners: £5 per class

What time: 6-7pm
Type of class: Chen style beginners Tai Chi, starting from basics.
Where: St Luke Community Centre, 90 Central St, London EC1V 8AJ.
Cost: Free for members, or £5 per class (non-members)

WEDNESDAY:
What time
: 9.30-10.15am
Type of class
: Chen style beginners class. Foundation exercises, including silk-reeling, working towards the 18-step form.
Where: Caxton House, 129 St John's Way, N19 3RQ.
Cost: Suggested donation of £5

SUNDAY:
What time: 7.30-8.45pm
Type of class
: Chen-style Tai Chi Chuan – mixed level. Beginners: Laojia Yi Lu, and for more advanced students: Laojia Yi Lu, Laojia Er Lu, Xinjia Yi Lu andstarting spear/staff form. Please note, new students must know Laojia Yi Lu (the traditional Chen-style 74 movement form) before progressing on to the sword form, or Xinjia.
Where: Hackney Forge, 243a Victoria Park Rd, London E9 7HD (entrance Banbury Rd)
Cost: £60 for 5 weeks, or £15 drop-in (£10 for first trial class)

Please note: There is a zen-style meditation group meeting at 5.30pm before the Sunday Tai Chi class. This is an informal group, and everyone is welcome. A basic introduction is given if requested, but there is no formal teaching given. It is a chance for any meditators of any style who would like the support of other meditators. Please contact to find out if the group is meeting before turning up.
